Grab your family! Bring your friends! Join in the fun for the Third Annual SCHEELS 5K scheduled for Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 8:00am. The certified course race will start and end in the SCHEELS parking lot with the course going through the Waite Park residential area! All ages are welcome and awards will be given to the top three places in each age division as well as door prizes. Intersections will be controlled by local law enforcement. Put together a Big Brother Big Sister Team and run/walk together!
Cost for the event is $20.00 until July 12th, and $25.00 there after including race day. Benefiting the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Program of Central Minnesota whose mission “is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact.”
Online registration and registration forms are both available at www.scheels.com/stcloudevents and are also available in the running and shoe shops at the St. Cloud Scheels store.

The Campus Recreation 5k and 2 mile run/walk series begins Tuesday May 11. All ages and all levels of fitness are invited to join.
When: Tuesdays May 11-June 29.
Time: Run/walk begins at 5:30pm sharp
Where: Start and Finish by the SCSU Husky Hub
Cost: Only $2.00 per person each week
Refreshments and door prizes each week

Everyone, just a reminder the Tech shirts are in and available for pick-up at Pac Wok Downtown St. Cloud. We’re sorry but we were only able to get the tech shirts in. This means the jersey’s are still coming. Thank you for patience. If you would lke to purchase a tech shirt please let us know what size and who you are in the comments. The cost is $11. We’ll be in touch of how to get it to you on Friday or the morning of the race.
With Earth Day happening this weekend we won’t be having our planned team ride.
Please enjoy the nice April weather and go cheer on all who are running on Saturday and celebrate with everyone at the party afterwards.
HOP Fit Team rides will resume Saturday April 24th at 10am.

Announcements
Shirts
Members, our tech shirts are in and available for pick-up. Pick them up anytime at the Pacific Wok, Downtown St. Cloud location. Please try to get them before the Earth Day runs this weekend so you can wear them. When you pick-up your shirts stop in next door to the Endurunce shop and say hi, pick up some Gu. It’s also a great time to take advantage of Wok Wednesdays.
Saturday Meet up
Saturday, Earth Day Runs, the House of Pizza van will be parked along with a tent set up near the start of the race. Lets try to get all the members to meet by the van beforehand.
Support
Please make an effort this weekend to get out and support all of your club-mates on Friday evening and Saturday.
After Party
Don’t forget about the party on Saturday after the run. 2:00 at Municipal Park in Sauk Rapids. Feel free to bring family & friends. It’s a great time to meet all the members.
Jerseys
The jerseys will be available in about 3 weeks.
Pictures
With all the events starting up, I am sure people are taking pictures. We have a flickr account to display all the pics. Just contact me or shoot me an email and I get you the login to upload your pictures. The more we have the better!
Other Events
There are a lot of other events happening this year. We’d like to get as many posted on the site as we can. If you know of one please email me details so I can get it listed.
Event Results
If you do an event, shoot me an email also with how it went, your time, etc. It would be nice to see how many active members we have doing events.

SCSU on the Move 5k

Where: St. Cloud State University
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Early Bird Registration is now open for St. Cloud State University’s annual SCSU on the Move 5k run or walk. This year’s 5k run/walk is sponsored by SCSU Campus Recreation, Bursch Travel, House of Pizza, the Endurunce Shop, and Pacific Wok.
The run will take place along the Mississippi River, utilizing the Beaver Island Trails. Awards for the 5k will be presented to the first three male and female finishers in each age group.

The Earth Day Run has always been considered the Fit Club’s kick-off event.
For most of us the winter training is paid off here. Participants and Spectators will see A LOT of Fit Club jerseys at this event. It’s always a great feeling to be one wearing the gear in the event.
It has 4 different runs to fit anyone’s level.

- 20 Mile Challenge Saturday, April 17, 2010
If you’re not a runner we still encourage you to come out and cheer the rest of the club members and everyone else on.
There will be a pre-race fuel and get together on Friday night April 16th at the Downtown House of Pizza
